My opinion about assassin. (Not about how they play, but their Animation)
No wonder the assassin sucks in animation, creativity, attacks, Head piece armor etc. Because the assassin is NOT a ninja/shinobi! A ninja/shinobi Is a lot more cooler, uses Teleportation with their hands like a spell gang sign. And a ninja uses at least a shiruken, two handed weapon, fire spells. And a ninja/shinibo climb walls.
The assassin in guildwars has a skill called Caltrops: Its supposed to be a skill, not a firkin spell. A caltrops is a bunch of 100 tiny small shirukens that slows you’re opponent down and instead Anet made Caltrops a spell with such a cheap animation! Jeez.
The assassin in guildwars has a skill called Blinding Power: It’s supoosed to be a skill, not a firkin spell. A Blinding power comes from you’re pocket or mouth, just throw sand powder on you’re opponent, how hard is that!? But instead the assassin bends down and uses it like a spell… sigh another bad animation.
The assassin in guildwars has skills called Aura of displacement, Death’s charge, Shadow prison, Death’s retreat, return etc: Yes they are spells but the animation looks weak and bleak, it just blows ya? The sin’s left hand touches the ground and then he teleports, so lame. Hes supposed to stand up and doing a hand sign spell or whatever.
The assassin in guildwars uses their daggers to kill foes: The assassin doesn’t even have kicking animation!! What are they!? American Martial arts?? At least blades of steel has a kicking animation. And an attack called Unsuspecting strike is supposed to be Unsuspecting, but instead the animation of it is just the assassin jump in front of the enemy! Cmon anet its called common sense.. Common senses bro.
The assassin has oh whatever, what im trying to say is. Anet has no imagination. They do but they don’t take advantage of it. I posted this on other forums and this dude said “This is guildwars, not naruto” What the heck is a naruto or DBZ??????? Anet is so uncreative… The assassin doesn’t even have a cloaking ability, except shadow form but it doesn’t even make an invisibility animation. I could go on and on with every skill but you get my point.

What do you want, sympathy because Anet didn't make the game exactly the way you want it?

I would have to agree with my lil bro. I too think that the Assassins have some sweet animations. I don't find them dull or anything of the sort.
(And bro, shouldn't you be in class?)

Assassins already have over three times the number of animations of every other class. What do you want? One where you like totally jump into space, and then dive down in a beam of light that spreads out with throwing stars flying all over the instance?

Assasins aren't Ninja or Shinobi, they are Assasins. You cant get mad at an Orange cause its not the color of an Apple.
Anet made up Assasins so they can make them excecute moves however they want.

Some of Assass animations look good- for example, finishing 2 moves- blades of steel > impale - Assa jumps kicking enemy (BoS), lands, hits the ground (Impale) > enemy is gone
Also, I like Assas animation with speed boost

And whats wrong with combining those two? More and better animations would make unimbalance? ;x

Bah. If you're going to complain about 'sin's animations, you *have* to mention that silly John-Wayne-esque run of his. Looks like an idiot.

Seriously, Shadow Form, Obsidian Flesh, Mist Form, Armor of Earth, Stoneflesh skin etc should have some kind of constant animation. The lack of animations really hinder the game IMO.

Lol.. and 'hers'. I love watching my 'sin leap about, don't really have a problem with any of the anims.
Except that run. It's horrible, so different from the lovely, springy run she has in towns.

In case you haven't noticed an assassin is not a ninja, they do not have stealth and Guild Wars does not use the same formulas as other games out there.
Perhaps you've failed to notice the inclusion of elves, orcs and various other common (and overdone) fantasy elements in the game?
Hmmm, "they don't kick" - why would they, they are not using martial arts, they are using daggers.
If you don't like assassins, pick one of the other professions to play. Basing enjoyment of a profession based upon their animations is pretty lame though. Other than trapping I'm not sure I could name an animation that a profession does.

The funniest thing is the last board before you get to Glint in Dragons Lair. This the the warrior level where you get knocked down all the time. When the Sins falls down he goes down on all fours. Its cracks me up everytime!

OP.
Stop confusing Naruto with games.
The answer to this thread was in your own post.
The assassin is not a ninja. And it's not supposed to be arche-type ninja. He's supposed to teleport in, kill the enemy and survive until he can spike again. Which he does. Assassins don't wear orange jackets/pants.

At least they got rid of the rolling action. I don't know if you tried the Sin's during the beta weekend about a year and a bit ago, but the sin's back then would do this forward roll every so often. Almost looked like they were tripping over themselves.
Was too funny.

Dang, no. I never played the beta.. was too busy trying to get my ele through Prophecies before factions came out (only started playing GW in March last year). I can live with the run, but she sure looks funny with her cape poking out like an air sock...
